Why did I get it: I don’t remember why it was on my list.

How did I get it: Borrowed it from the library.
Why did I get it: It’s been on a lot of lists of recommended titles, so I wanted to take a peek.

How did I get it: It was a gift.

Friday the Rabbi Slept Late by Harry Kemelman
How did I get it: Borrowed it from the library.
Why did I get it: It’s one of book club’s picks for the year. I’m trying to not wait to the last minute to read the books this year.

Flames of Rome: A Novel by Paul L. Maier
How did I get it: Borrowed it from the library.
Why did I get it: Elizabeth recommended it to me.

Palace of Darkness: A Novel of Petra by Tracy L. Higley
How did I get it: Borrowed it from the library.
Why did I get it: I don’t remember why it was on my TBR.

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
How did I get it: Borrowed it electronically from the library.
Why did I get it: Saw an ad for it on my own blog (!) and loved the cover. The description sounds like one I’ll like so it quickly went to the top of my TBR list.

On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness by Andrew Paterson
How did I get it: Borrowed it electronically from the library.
Why did I get it: Jessica recommends it, and our reading tastes match up enough that that’s reason to try it.

Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale
How did I get it: Borrowed it electronically from the library.
Why did I get it: I love fairy tale retellings, and I liked Hale’s Princess Academy quite a bit.
